Who can seek our services and what issues are handled?
While we might take case histories and build formulations to understand the problem in-depth we do not diagnose, prescribe medications or deal with severe mental health disorders. In case of emergency, or crisis such as suicidal ideation, extreme disturbance, psychotic symptoms, substance withdrawal symptoms etc. we would suggest reaching out to a hospital/emergency centre or contacting a crisis helpline to connect with a medical professional qualified to deal with these issues.
What can I expect from the sessions?
What therapeutic techniques are used in the sessions?
How long does a session last?
In order to make the service accessible, we offer sessions of 20 (audio), 40 and 50 minutes which you can book at your convenience.
How long does therapy last?
This can vary as per many factors such as the therapeutic approach, nature of the problem, its intensity, how long-standing the problem has been, your commitment towards making a change etc. It has been observed that it can take up to 3 months or 12 sessions (around once a week) to witness significant gains. While it can last shorter or longer depending on if the client delves deeper into a problem, typically the goal is to keep it time-bound and become independent in practising the new skills. The termination of sessions can be mutually decided and follow-up sessions may be scheduled to reinforce the skills and discuss the maintenance of progress.

How is the service different from advice giving or talking it out with friends and family?
While advice received from your support network is helpful, taking professional help extends beyond talking. During the process, you are listened to in a safe, non-judgmental space and receive objective feedback and guidance on how best to find a solution that’s right for you. You also will get insights into your own mind and actions and how to reframe unhelpful patterns of thinking and learn behaviours and coping strategies consistent with these thoughts which can lead to more fulfilling, healthy experiences. Moreover, the focus is not just on solving an immediate issue but leading an enriching life in line with your personal values that can foster a state of wellbeing.
